What walks in Edgartown

Haunted Edgartown is a 90-minute guided walking tour through one of the oldest and most storied corners of Martha's Vineyard. The tour traces the narrow lanes and harbor-side stretches of a town whose whaling heyday left behind more than candlelit captains' homes: it left echoes. Lantern in hand, guests are led past the Old Whaling Church, the historic Dr. Daniel Fisher House, and the quiet yards where, in some places, the veil between then and now wears thin.

The experience is built for visitors who want more than a sightseeing stroll: ghost hunters and folklore lovers, history buffs, date-night seekers, and curious summer travelers looking for something genuinely strange after the sun goes down. The tone is PG-13, the pace is walkable, and the stories are drawn from documented Island history and long-standing local legend rather than theatrical invention. Group sizes are kept intimate, so every guest stays close to the guide and the dark.
